Scientology is like myspace for celebrities.

It’s an evil abomination that brings people together.

I just found out Jason Lee is a Scientologist.

If you haven’t tried google trends, you should give it a go.  It’s a nice little fun way to waste some time.

If you look at the example below … you will see what I mean:

“peanut butter”  
“jelly”   
sandwich   
bread   
cheese 

This is a little search I came up with.  Notice that “peanut butter” and “jelly” trend about the same, as do “bread” and “cheese”.  “Sandwhich” remains pretty constant throughout. Also, notice that both “bread” and “cheese” are pretty popular, with “cheese” taking the lead.

What I want to know is what happened in the middle of Q4 2005 that caused the massive spike in searches for both “peanut butter” and “jelly” ?

Anyone?
