Back from the Eug.

by Chris M. Wilson on Jan.14, 2009, under Uncategorized

Well, this weekend saw another epic road trip to Eugene. Amelia was quite the trooper, considering we didn’t make it back home until about 1:30 in the morning. A thirteen hour long road trip is a bit rough on a two year old, but she handled it beautifully. She didn’t even sleep on the way home. We just sang children’s songs the entire way. It was pretty fun.

I wasn’t able to find a light fixture or a 4×12 cabinet (the two things I was looking for), but we had fun nonetheless.

The sad news came once we arrived home and I jacked into my guitar rig only to find out that my Peavey Rockmaster preamp has somehow died. I get no output on any of the outs, or for that matter, any of the sends. It’s not the tubes, as I tried swapping those out to no avail. I also tried jumpering the fx loops and swapping out cables. No dice there either.

*sigh*

Oh well … I guess I’ll take my chances with the local repair shop, though they haven’t been able to fix the last three items I’ve taken to them.

The guitar rig

by Chris M. Wilson on Aug.15, 2008, under Uncategorized

So … I got the idea to do a graphical representation of my guitar rig. There is a website called www.guitargeek.com that does this for famous guitarists, and I always thought it was cool. Even though I’m not famous, I thought I’d give it a go for my own gear. :)

Here it is (click the thumbnail for a larger version):
